Moray Lodge is a state of the art, centre for people diagnosed with an acquired brain injury. LoCaL Homes worked with Northampton Partnership to make their designs a reality. With experience in building purpose built, award-winning care centres, LoCaL Homes and its in-house construction team were able to develop the Northampton Partnerships’ designs into timber frames for construction.

To help future residents, the centre has been designed to provide supportive independent living. Designed by Northampton Partnership to their own requirements, the scheme was built to be accessible with additions like rise and fall sinks, lifts, and anti-ligature apparatus. With acquired brain injuries, safety measures must be built into the design and particular care has to be focused on fire safety. LoCaL Homes’ frames are built using closed panel systems utilising a fire-retardant board to increase fire resistance ensuring that all of our builds are fire safe.

By working with LoCaL Homes’ experienced structural engineers, design issues which may have held up construction were able to be solved ensuring a well-designed build fit for purpose. We were able to identify design worries and concerns early on and were able to provide solutions as well as support. Purchasing from LoCaL Homes gives companies access to 14 years of experience in producing timber framed panels and the support that that expertise can provide.

LoCaL Homes are able to make your designs a reality supporting customers to build a range of complex builds including specialist care.
