This development was funded by a £1.03million Homes England grant and is part of the 2015/18 AHP. The eight accessible houses were funded as part of the CASSH (Care and Support Specialised Housing) Homes England programme. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This new Accord Housing development is made up of 40 homes; it includes 22 apartments, eight houses and 10 bungalows. All of the properties on this new site are for affordable rent. This particular development came about after extensive talks with Wolverhampton City Council about the type of accommodation that was needed here. It is as an excellent example of the importance of working together in partnership to help ensure we meet the housing needs of our local communities. Accord is one of Wolverhampton Council’s key partners. The eight two storey homes have all been purpose built for wheelchair users, to help us meet the needs of families who require a home with wheelchair access. These homes have been designed with internal lifts, they also have adjustable kitchens and the bathrooms are fully accessible too. The 22 apartments are a combination of one and two bedroomed homes. The bungalows are also two bedroom and built to address our over 55s housing need.
