Working in partnership with Vistry Partnerships, we delivered a total of 96 brand new homes on Newark Road in Peterborough for Cross Keys Homes. The homes are for affordable rent and shared ownership with a split of 70 homes and 26 apartments in two and three storey blocks, transforming the brown site of the former Perkins Sports Association.

Situated in a strategic location, this development is close to the city centre, with access to major transport links. The development will provide a much-needed boost to the local economy , contributing to regeneration in the area.

The homes are constructed from our standard low carbon timber panel. The system is comprising of 100mm studs sheathed on the external face with oriented strand board, then filled with environmentally friendly and fire resistant wool insulation. Then the internal load bearing walls comprise of 90mm studs, which has been externally completed with traditional brickwork.

By utilising our open timber frame system, the Newark Road development has benefitted from a faster build programme than that of a traditional build. The Eco-100 is manufactured in a controlled environment which ensures consistent precision across each panel thanks to our technology.

Andy Reynolds, Managing Director for Vistry Partnerships, stated: “We’re delighted to be working with LoCaL Homes to deliver this significant mixed tenure development in Peterborough on behalf of Cross Keys Homes. The range of dwellings and various tenures will offer the widest possible choice of affordable homes built to the highest standards.”
