Construction is now complete at GreenSquareAccord‘s affordable homes development on Oxford Road, Daventry, with the final handovers taking place imminently.
The new homes in Daventry are spread between two apartment blocks each containing 11 apartments with a mix of one and two-bedroom properties.
The 22 apartments, built by Excelsior Land Ltd, have all been let for a social rent. Facilities on the site include communal parking spaces, including two electric vehicle chargers, and storage for cycles.
All the new homes in the scheme have been built using our Eco-200 off-site closed timber panel system, which reduced construction times on site and enabled swifter handovers.
Tom Wragg, Senior Regeneration Officer at GreenSquareAccord said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Excelsior Land Ltd and LoCaL Homes to deliver these well-appointed affordable homes. Our new homes in Daventry are in an enviable location close to the town centre and are finished to a high standard exceeding current energy-efficiency requirements.
“It is the first time in the UK that a LoCaL Homes Eco-200 timber panel system has been combined with the Weber brick slip system making this development unique.”
The new homes lie within a conservation area, they have been sympathetically designed with sash windows and slate tiles on the roof to match neighbouring properties.
GreenSquareAccord’s new development is ideally located on the edge of Daventry Town Centre with supermarkets, eateries, a range of high street shops, a cinema and leisure centre all within a short distance on foot.
Our Sales & Partnerships Manager, Mike Doolan said: “LoCaL Homes are delighted to be a partner in this affordable homes development. There is a strong need for high quality, energy efficient housing in Daventry.
“The rising cost of energy is a real problem right now, by using a fabric first design approach our LoCaL Homes offsite timber panel solutions provide high performing, low carbon homes which help to reduce overall household bills”.
